This project examines whether companies should accept a reasonable level of product risk in order to maintain affordability and accessibility. Using Uber as a case study, I analyzed internal decision-making around safety features through both utilitarian and deontological frameworks. The project highlights the ethical tension between business viability and the responsibility to protect consumers.

Hill Communications
Through my work at Hill Communications, Syracuse University’s student-run public relations agency, I’ve contributed to three client accounts: Annietober (Spring 2025), Princeton-Blairstown Center (Fall 2025), and ICC Food Bank (Spring 2026). Across these experiences, I developed skills in social media strategy, brand development, media outreach, and client-facing communications, working on everything from event promotion to full brand audits.

Ben & Jerry’s Research
This project combines survey research, secondary research, and social media analytics to examine how Ben & Jerry’s CSR efforts and political activism shape consumer perceptions and behavior. My team and I used SPSS, Google Trends, Brandwatch, and Excel to evaluate survey data, track social media trends, and assess brand positioning and audience segmentation. Together, these insights highlight how values-driven branding impacts trust, credibility, and engagement, while revealing the challenge of appealing to diverse audiences.

The paper highlights the broader cultural impact of influencer messaging and the responsibility that comes with shaping audience narratives
